Council on Assessment

Chaired by the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs-Teaching and Assessment, the Council is composed of the chairs of the Assessment Advisory Committees of each school. The Council, supported by the CTAAR, assists schools and departments as they develop and implement their assessment plans, and as they use the results of their assessments to facilitate change.

The Council meets regularly throughout the academic year, and sets deadlines for the revision of assessment plans and the conduct of assessments themselves. Each year, approximately 1/3-1/4 of the departments in the University will present the results of assessment projects to the Council for review, with plans for using that information.
